ALINE JULIE—BETWEEN ART, DESIGN AND CRAFT
A professional ceramist and artist who doesn’t define herself solely as an artist, craftswoman or designer—but rather as a powerful combination of all three. Crafts(wo)manship is the foundation on which ALINE JULIE builds her designs, giving her the freedom to be guided by her artistic language.

THE FUNDAMENT
ALINE JULIE started her ceramic journey in 2014 with a four-year ceramic apprenticeship in the School of Applied Arts in Berne, Switzerland. She later continued her studies in fine arts at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and Zurich University of Arts.

ELEGANCE AT THE TABLE
All products are created to be useful, practical and timeless. Their design is intentionally subtle, creating a sense of calm and effortless elegance instead of overly bold.

CRAFTED BY HAND
Every piece is made individually and carefully by hand in our studio in Switzerland. Before firing, ceramic is a very soft, flexible and direct material. To ensure that this can still be seen and felt after firing, our fingerprints are visible on all products. Since ceramic is not a rigid material, the products thrive on subtle “imperfections”. In summary: the liveliness is the hallmark of all our creations.
